Super excited for tomorrow :] [Aug. 29th, 2008|01:55 pm]

[Current Music |"True Life" on MTV]

It looks like Fall out. I've even actually seen a few trees that are starting to change color! I'm so excited, I just wish the weather would cool down a little. I love fall and I'm ready for it.

Yesterday, Jess, Colette, and Shannon came over around 2 and we tried to watch Kite Runner. The disc ended up pooping out on us so we decided to go to Panera instead lol. I'm bummed I didn't get to see the whole movie, but we were kinda distracted, so maybe I'll watch it some other time haha. We all ended up going our seperate ways and then Pat ended up coming over. Nothing else ended up happening that night, but hanging out with Pat was fun. :]

Today, I'm basically just sitting around for another 2 hours until I work. 4-11:15. Gross. I kind of hope that I get off early. I am not in the mood to work tonight. I hate working on weekend nights just because the people bitch about the price change. I get at least 1 person every half hour, fifteen minutes, that's like, it's so much cheaper at imagine! I don't understand why those people just don't go to Imagine instead and leave me alone because they just bitch at me for a good minute about why it sucks that the price changes. It's not my fault and it's so freaking annoying lol.

But I'm so excited for tomorrow! My first Michigan game. :] Maybe going to a football game will make me feel like school is starting next Wednesday.

So, I have about a 4 hour block between classes and I'm not sure if it's worth driving a half an hour each way to go home and then go back again. Jess suggested that I get familiar with the campus, which seems like a good idea. I'm probably not going to have too much homework to worry about after the first day, but since this is college and not high school, who even knows lol.

one week until school..oye vay. [Aug. 27th, 2008|07:25 pm]

So. T-Minus one week until classes start. It's wierd. It hasn't sunk in yet.

Sunday, Pat and I headed up around 12:30 to go up to Hell to spend some time with a little bit of the family. We went tubing. We ate pizza. It was relaxing. We were both pretty tired lol. Just ended up hanging out at my house that night because no one was up to anything. But it was all good. :]

Monday I woke up around 5 and didn't feel good at all. Fell back asleep and felt fine. Ok. I went out to lunch with Jenny at Panera. It was really good to see her again. She's leaving soon for Australia, so for all I know, that could have been the last time I see her. It was good just to catch up and see her one last time. I went to work at 5 and felt fine until about 9:30. I felt sick, my head hurt, and I felt like I was going to pass out. It was scary as hell. I've never been that close to passing out and I was kinda surprised I made it to the bathroom without passing out. Everything was blacking out. I went home early, obviously, and just rested the rest of the night.

Tuesday I felt better, so I picked up Colette around 3 and we went to out to Dearborn. I picked up my books. Holy crap were they expensive! And heavy. Ohhh boy. School is coming up so fast. Then we went to the sorority recruitment picnic which I actually enjoyed myself at. I can't really decide about the whole sorority thing. They're a little different at Dearborn because there isn't a house, so it's bascially just a way to make friends and have a good excuse to hang out and stuff. There's one that I really like. But I don't know. What would happen if I decided to transfer out to Ann Arbor? There is probably a chapter out there, but obviously it'll be a whole new set of girls and it could have a totally different vibe than the sorority that I like at Dearborn. I'm torn. After that, around 8, me, Jess, Colette, and Shannon met up in DTP to get some coffee and talk up at Starbucks. It's always fun talking to those girls. We left around 10 to make some grilled cheese at my house and Pat met us up. We talked/read Tucker Max.

Today I had to get up at 9 to get to work at 10:15. It actually wasn't too bad waking up that early. It shouldn't be too hard to wake up when school rolls around next week! Tonight, me and Pat around going over to Luke's in a little bit to play some wii and relax. Colette will probably meet up with us around 9 after she works, and I have no idea what anyone else is up to. There's really not many of us left here in Livonia. It makes me want to transfer next year if possible lol.

If you were stranded on an island with a fictional character, who would it be and why?

Edward Cullen. That's not even a legit question. Like it would be any other fictional character.

One week until football starts! [Aug. 23rd, 2008|11:36 pm]

[Current Music |watching "Georga Rule" on the television]

Ahhh so the last few days have been pretty much uneventful.

Friday I had to work at 530, but of course I got sent home after half an hour. I could have stayed, but I decided to go home because I was so tired and pretty hungry. I went over to Pat's and we took a nap and ate some food. :] Than we decided to go see Tropic Thunder later that night. It really wasn't as horrible as everyone said it was. In fact, I only heard it was bad from a few people. It wasn't horrible for a free movie, haha.

Today I pretty much sat around and read until I had to work at 5. I decided to stay this time instead of going home because I need the money! I'm pretty tired now, so I'll be hitting the hay soon. But tomorrow Pat's coming with me to Hell to celebrate my Grandma's birthday with the family. It'll be a good time, I suppose. :]

AND. Only one week until the first football game! I'm SO pumped! I've never been in the Big House and I'm so excited. :]

Summer's ending [Aug. 22nd, 2008|01:37 pm]

[Current Music |T.V.]

So, I kind of wanted to pick up my books today, but I'm stuck at home because my dad wants me to stay home while someone hooks up our new internet/cable. I'm thinking I'll probably just go to Dearborn early on Tuesday before the picnic gear so I don't have to make two trips down there. Gotta save that gas haha.

Yesterday was Alumni Night up at band camp. It was wierd but not wierd at the same time. I don't talk to many of the underclassmen so it was wierd seeing people I don't know in a place I'm so familiar with. I don't miss being there really. I don't really know how to explain it. It's wierd to think that that was my last time visiting band camp. Unless Brian does marching band next year, I don't have any other reason to visit at alumni night or on Sunday performances.

Nothing much is going on. I'm going a little stir crazy now that summer is ending. I'm usually super busy at this time with marching band, but since I'm not doing anything until school starts, I feel lazy and I just have the urge to do something. I'm kind of relieved that school is starting soon. It'll be a lot of adjusting and will keep me busy, and I love being busy. I love summer but summer just isn't that fun unless you keep yourself busy, and I have to say I've been doing a good job so far.

Just a little rambling.. [Aug. 19th, 2008|08:06 pm]
[Current Location |My living room]
[Current Mood |optimisticoptimistic]

So I've basically been doing a lot of thinking lately. Things are changing so much. Almost everyone is going off to college or will be soon. I get jealous when people start talking about what cute dorm room stuff they got at Target. I wish I was moving into a dorm room, too. Well, I've been thinking about how jealous I've been, and I decided that I shouldn't let where I ended up get me down. It's not my first pick school by a long shot. Heck, I could have been $15,000 in debt right now and moving into State tomorrow. Which is wierd to think about now. But I decided there's no reason to mope around about staying home. It just means I get to save money, right? I can move into an apartment maybe next or try to transfer out to Ann Arbor. I'm going to make a real effort to meet new friends and get involved. It doesn't mean losing old friends but mixing the new and the comfortable. I'm really getting excited. :] I'm even trying to get a new job now. I feel so much more independent then I ever have. I'm optimistic about things right now.

I even started checking out options for majors. I think I narrowed it down to either sociology or economics. I'm taking a soc class this semester and I'll try out a econ class next semester and see if I like either one. It's exciting getting to pick out what classes seem interesting to you instead of the ones you're required to take. We'll see how they go!

Summer is almost over. :/ [Aug. 14th, 2008|01:14 pm]
[Current Mood |busybusy]
[Current Music |Hellogoodbye]

So Monday was the finale of The Mole! I was excited that Mark won. He deserved the money over Nicole, and Craig was a great Mole. It was cool that everyone got together once a week to watch. It was like summer version of dodgeball. Just a good excuse to make sure we see each other at least once a week. I'm bummed it's over. How much are we all going to see each other before school starts?

Tuesday Pat came over and we hung out for awhile before I had to work. 6-12:15. Bleck. The only bad part about AMC is working late. If AMC closed at like, 9, or even 10, I'd like it SO much better, lol.

Yesterday I met Pat up at CHS because I had to talk to Mrs.Hering about a trophy and playing next year. Jon Tap informed me that since I was a student at Dearborn I was allowed to play in the bands up in Ann Arbor, even the marching band if I wanted to. Maybe I'll look into that lol. We relaxed and then went up to the MDen to get our t shirts for football this year. Pat picked up an application for the Mden and I picked one up for Boarders. We hung out, then I went to this Starbucks gear out in Dearborn. The sororities were doing get to know everyone thing and it was cool to go and see how the members like it and what exactly they do and just hang out. It was cool and I'm glad I went. I was bummed Colette could have come with me but I'm glad I went even though I went there by myself. I'm proud that I went by myself. I'm not used to going out on my own somewhere where I don't know anyone for sure.

After that me and Pat went to go see Pineapple Express which was HILAROIUS! I recommend it.

Something is wrong with my texting and stuff. I get stuff like, 2 hours after someone will send it and sometimes people don't even get the things I send them. I hate it. I missed the memo about seeing Tropic Thunder last night. Stupid phone. But Pineapple Express was definetly not a let down.

Work tonight and shopping in a little bit. :D I STILL need to order my books. I should get on that.

MICHAEL PHELPS FAN! [Aug. 11th, 2008|12:15 am]
[Current Location |My room]
[Current Mood |mellowmellow]
[Current Music |The Olympics :D]

This weekend was fun :]

Saturday morning Sarah and Mark came in from Vicksburg! It was so good to see them again. We ate some lunch (Mark eats like a horse. I've never seen anyone pack away so much mac 'n cheese EVER), then eventually we made our way over to Kensington to go kayaking! Unfortunately, a storm was brewing over the lake so we had to call it quits early. We should've just waited for it to pass. It didn't even rain, the storm just passed right over. We ended up swimming at Jess's for awhile and hanging out. Grilled some excellent hamburgers for dinner, played around on youtube (Salad Fingers is SO creepy) and then walked up to Hand-Di-Dip! We went to my house to sleep because jess had to leave early this morning to go to a Tiger's game.

We ate a superb breakfast this morning, hung out, fooled around on my lap top, showered, and then went to see The Mummy 3 at 2:15. It was definitly a let down. I liked the first two so much better. Haha well. It was Mark's movie pick. We'll blame him for that one, lol. We got back around 4:15 and my mom got pizza for us at 5. Ate that, Jess came over the game, and we hung out and read some Tucker Max. And did I mention that Mark finally gave Jess and I the bracelets he promised to make! They're sweet! I can't believe he can make those. I just realized that Jess forgot to give him back the car, lol.

Mark's mom came to pick the two of them up around 630, so I've basically been reading Breaking Dawn and watching the Olympics since they left. And I have to say, people have been complaining about how Breaking Dawn isn't that great, but I LOVE it so far. And I'm like 550 pages in. I've also been diggin' the Olympics. I was watching the swimming hardcore earlier. I was SO excited that the USA won the 400m relay. The French were devastated and it was just so hilarious because they were all expecting to win and we pulled ahead at the last second! Can I just say I'm definately a Michael Phelps fan! He went crazy when they won. It was great.

Hmmm. So my exciting weekend is over now. The Mole is on tomorrow so that should be good. Season finale! Didn't think I'd get so into this show. It's absolutely addicting. Then Tuesday it's back to work. :/ Poop. Well. I do need the money. I'm buying my books this week. I can't figure out how to use half.com.

On Wednesday the sororities at Dearborn are doing this starbucks thing and I was considering going. I'm on call so I guess that all depends on if I get called in. I was hoping Colette could come but seeing as she works doubles 6 days this week she most likely can't. So I might go by myself. Even if I don't join a sorority, it's still a good way to start meeting people which is what I really want to do. When my mom found out that I was looking in sororities she didn't seem too happy. But that's not really something for her to decide IF i chose to do that. Sororities at Dearborn are a bit different than the typical University campus sorority because they don't live in a house, so it's basically just a way to meet people and get involved with the school. At least that's the gist I get from it so far.

Finally home [Aug. 8th, 2008|01:36 pm]
[Current Location |My room]
[Current Mood |soresore]
[Current Music |The TV]

So, I'm finally home from family vacation! Too much time pent up with my brothers would be bad for anyone..

Saturday was Pat's grad party. It was fun and I got to meet more family and friend's of the family which is always nice :D And I also went to buy Breaking Dawn which I am in the process of reading.

Sunday some people went over to Cayla's to swim. I had to leave early to work, so I just relaxed and watched the Tiger's game. Than I left for work and ended up getting of like 45 minutes early. I ended up just relaxing at home.

On Monday I mostly packed/read all day. Little packing actually got done, though lol. Than I got all dressed up and went out to dinner with everyone at Bravo's! Almost all of were there. It was a good chance to get dressed up one last time. It was a goodbye dinner. We looked cute. And Bravo's was good. And after we went to Luke's to watch the mole! It was a good night.

Tuesday morning I woke up early and my family and the Kresta's headed up north to Mackinac! I rode separately with Sara and Renee in Sara's car. We got there around 330ish and then we had some hotel problems. As in the travel agency thing that was supposed to book our hotel didn't and we got screwed. My aunt lynda got VERY pissed and we ended up a few hotels down in a suite one night and the type of rooms we were supposed to get the next few nights. After that ordeal we walked around in Mackinaw city and ate out to dinner later. After dinner me, Sara, my Uncle Larry and Aunt Lynda went back to the hotel to put our food away and we opened up the hotel door and there was a freakin' BAT circling the hotel room. I have NEVER heard my cousin scream so loud or see my aunt run so fast lol. The bat chased my aunt up and down the hallway while me and cousin were screaming and my cousin Renee slept through the whole thing lol. She had no idea she was in the hotel room with a bat. Very gross lol.

Wednesday I slept in until 1030, got ready, and later that day we went over to the island. We got lunch, went on a cool carriage tour of the island (compliments of the agency that screwed us over) and shopped around a little bit.

Yesterday we got up early and went horseback riding on the island! lol it was more fun than I thought it would be. We went around the island and through the woods and stuff and the horses even trotted along sometimes which I thought was fun lol. My butt is a bit bruised but that's ok lol. Than I bought my fudge and we went back across to the hotel and hung out there. I read, relaxed and showered, and than later my family went to the Mystery Spot. The VanAmburgs met us up for dinner because they happened to be in Cheboygan for the weekend.

This morning we left at 9, got home around 1, and now I should be unpacking. I have my haircut at 3. I think I'll probably just go for a trim.

Today is Brianna's last day here. I can't believe it. It hasn't really sunk in yet and it probably won't until later. When I'll probably cry. I hate goodbyes.

Not thinkin' 'bout tomorrow [Aug. 2nd, 2008|01:24 pm]
[Current Mood |excitedexcited]
[Current Music |"All Summer Long" Kid Rock]

So the last few days have been great! :]

Thursday was Pat and I's 18 months :] I can't believe it's been a year and half already. The time has gone by so fast. He makes me unbelievably happy, and I always have so much fun when I'm with him. I love how we can laugh at the stupidest things together or just hang out and watch a movie or something and still have so much fun. I love him so much, and I know I'm one lucky girl. :] We hung out together and made some pretty sweet peanut butter cookies to bring to Shannon's cottage yesterday. :]

Yesterday everyone went up to Shannon's family's cottage for the day! It was so fun! We went tubing (from which I am still so sore) and swimming and just hung out all day :] It was really nice out all day (until dinner) and I didn't even get burnt! Shannon's mom made tacos! It's sad to think that it's the last day we all get to spend with each other (besides the dinner monday night but there are a few people who might not be able to go to that). That group of friends has been like a second family. We're all close enough to each other that we act like family. I love it.

Today I woke up around 1030 (a good 12 hours of sleep haha :D) and went to Target to see if I could get Breaking Dawn. Except they HADN'T put them out yet. I was pissed. And I didn't have enough gas to go to Meijer. So I'm going on my to Pat's party later and demanding they give me a copy. It's cheaper and it comes out today and I want it! Later is Pat's grad party! I'm excited. I'll probably go there a little early and hang out all day :]
